Acceptable Use Policy

Effective 3 October 2026

This policy sets the rules for using Measure, operated by Maven Innovation Ltd. It applies to everyone who uses measure.co, the dashboard, the free tools, our API and MCP connection, and Agent M, and it forms part of our Terms of Service. The rules exist to keep the service safe, lawful and fair for everyone.

1. Use Measure for what it is for

Measure tracks how AI engines and search describe and cite brands and websites. Use it to monitor and improve visibility for:

  • brands and domains you own or operate;
  • brands and domains you are authorised to manage for a client (for example, as an agency); and
  • competitors and market peers you have a genuine commercial reason to benchmark against.

Do not track people, or brands and domains you have no legitimate interest in, and do not use the results to harass, defame or deceive anyone.

2. What you must not do

You must not, and must not help anyone else to:

Break the law or other people’s rights.

  • use the service for anything unlawful, or to store, send or generate unlawful, defamatory or fraudulent content;
  • infringe copyright, trademarks or other intellectual property (to report an infringement, see our Copyright & DMCA page);
  • collect or process personal data in a way that breaches data-protection law.

Attack or abuse the service.

  • probe, scan or test the security of the service, or access data that is not yours, without our written permission (to report a vulnerability responsibly, see section 4);
  • disrupt, overload or degrade the service, or introduce malware;
  • bypass or tamper with authentication, workspace isolation, rate limits, quotas, credit metering or plan limits, including by creating multiple accounts to get around free-tool limits;
  • attempt to extract other customers' data, our source code, or the prompts and configuration behind our AI features.

Misuse automated access and the free tools.

  • scrape, crawl or bulk-extract the website, dashboard or free tools with bots or other automated means, other than through our documented API or MCP connection;
  • resell, sublicense or republish raw data feeds from the service, or use the service or its data to build a competing product, without a written agreement with us;
  • point the audit, crawler-checker or other URL-fetching tools at addresses you have no right to test, at internal or private network addresses, or at any site in a way that could overload or harm it.

Misuse accounts and connected services.

  • share your sign-in credentials, impersonate someone else, or give false information when registering;
  • connect Google, ad or other third-party accounts that you are not authorised to connect;
  • use the service if you are under 18, or on behalf of someone who is not allowed to enter a contract.

Misuse AI features and results.

  • use Agent M or the content tools to generate malware, spam, harassment, impersonation, or deceptive or misleading content, including fake reviews or testimonials;
  • feed the service prompts or data designed to manipulate AI engines or our measurements, or to misrepresent results to others;
  • use the service in a way that would put us or you in breach of the terms of a third-party AI engine or data provider.

3. Fair use of credits and rate limits

Plans include a monthly credit allowance and rate limits that protect the service for everyone. Use that is clearly out of line with a plan’s intended scale, or that hides heavy load behind many accounts, may be throttled, or may need a different plan. The detail is in our Terms of Sale (section 8, fair use and suspension).

4. Reporting a problem

If you see content or behaviour that breaks this policy, tell us at hello@measure.co. To report a security vulnerability, see our Security page. We welcome good-faith reports.

5. What happens if the policy is broken

Depending on how serious the breach is, we may warn you, remove content, throttle or limit usage, suspend access, or end your account under section 7 of the Terms of Service. Where we end an account for a serious or repeated breach, fees already paid are not refunded to the extent the law allows. We may report unlawful activity to the authorities and cooperate with their enquiries. We are not obliged to monitor use, and not acting on a breach does not waive our right to act later.

6. Changes & contact

We may update this policy as the service changes; material changes will be notified in-app or by email and the effective date above will change. Questions: hello@measure.co.
