See what may keep your key pages out of AI answers

Capabilities

What it does

Crawler and firewall access

Reads robots.txt for AI crawlers such as GPTBot, ClaudeBot, PerplexityBot and Google-Extended, and flags pages a firewall or bot challenge refuses, which robots.txt alone never shows.

The page as crawlers see it

GPTBot, ClaudeBot and PerplexityBot read raw HTML without running JavaScript. The audit flags pages whose content, or your brand name, only appears after scripts run, plus redirect loops, chains and 4xx or 5xx errors.

More than 30 issue types

Titles, H1s, thin content, question-shaped headings, missing or broken JSON-LD, date and author signals, canonicals, llms.txt, and duplicate titles or brand naming across pages.

A score and a fix for every issue

Each page gets a 0-100 AI-readiness score, 30 points for crawler access and 70 for on-page signals. Every issue is graded critical, warning or info and comes with a fix you can act on.

Fixed only when rechecked

Every run is saved and compared with the one before: new, fixed and still open. An issue counts as fixed only when its page was audited again and the finding is gone.

Indexing and fix impact

With Search Console connected, URL Inspection flags key pages missing from Google's index, and a fix check compares a fixed page's Google clicks with untouched pages, plus its AI citations before and after.

How it works

Three steps, start to finish

Five thin blue glass slabs stacked in midair on white, a thin plane of light crossing the middle one, check-mark tokens beside the top two
  1. Step 1: Choose your key pages

List the pages that matter in project memory, or add suggestions drawn from your top Search Console pages. With none set yet, running it from the Site Audit page covers your homepage.

  2. Step 2: Run the audit

Start it from the Site Audit page or ask Agent M. Each page is fetched live, checked and scored, and the run is saved. A scheduled audit also runs every week.

  3. Step 3: Fix, recheck, compare

Ship the fixes, then let the next run recheck the pages. The diff shows what was fixed, what is new, what is still open and which pages were not rechecked.

FAQ

Common questions

What does a GEO site audit check?

Measure's GEO site audit checks whether AI engines can reach, read and attribute your key pages. It looks at robots.txt rules for AI crawlers, firewall or bot-challenge blocks, HTTP errors and redirects, content that only appears after JavaScript, titles and headings, structured data, date and author signals, llms.txt, and whether your brand is named on the page. Each page gets a 0-100 AI-readiness score.

How does Measure decide an issue is fixed?

Every saved audit is compared with the previous run. An issue counts as fixed only when its page was audited again and the finding is gone. If a page was left out of the newer run, Measure lists it as not rechecked instead, so a page dropped from the list never reads as fixed.

Does the audit crawl my whole site?

No. Measure audits a shortlist: up to 12 key pages from your project memory per on-demand run (6 on Starter). If you run it from the Site Audit page before setting any key pages, it covers your homepage. The weekly scheduled audit covers up to 8 key pages. With Search Console connected, Measure can suggest key pages from your top-performing URLs.

Do I need Google Search Console for the audit?

No, the audit runs without it, but Search Console adds two things. Measure folds in URL Inspection, so key pages missing from Google's index are flagged; without it, indexing is reported as not checked. It also powers the fix check, which compares a fixed page's Google clicks over the same weeks with untouched pages in the same section of your site, or across the whole site when that section has too few.

Does running a site audit use credits?

No. Site audits in Measure don't spend credits. On-demand runs are rate-limited in pages per minute by plan, and a scheduled audit of your key pages runs automatically every 7 days.
